Our Concept

With an emphasis on ensuring you get the best value for money possible, at Hotel Sunnyside, we offer a relaxed and simple approach to guest accommodation.

We believe a visit to Newquay should be more about getting out and enjoying our beautiful waters and coastline and sampling the wonderful local restaurants and bars. With our fantastic location, we aim to offer a central yet affordable base from which to explore our great town.

Whilst ensuring standards of cleanliness are not compromised, our rooms are basic and uncomplicated, which enables us to keep costs down and allows you to spoil yourself elsewhere! And to keep our room rates as low as possible, we have introduced a number of policies to pass on our savings to you.

We don’t automatically service your room during your stay. If however, you would like your room cleaned and your linen changed at any time during your stay, you can simply contact reception to book this service at no extra cost. Of course, when you arrive at the hotel your room will have been fully cleaned, tidied, with fresh bed linen provided. All rooms are checked daily to ensure your waste bins are emptied and to re-stock room amenities.

Towels are supplied in our standard and sea view rooms only. For guests staying in our bunk rooms, towels are available to hire at £1 (with a £5 deposit). Towels can also be purchased at a cost of £10.

Tea and coffee making facilities are supplied in our standard and sea view rooms only. If you fancy a tea or coffee, no problem! A range of teas and coffees are available from £1 at our bar to drink in or take away.

We do not supply any miniature bottles of synthetic-smelling lotions and potions in our rooms. Most people staying away from home will pack a toiletries bag, so we simply find the supply of such items an unnecessary expense. Hairdryers and irons are similarly not supplied in any of our rooms. If you do need either a hairdryer or iron and ironing board, simply ask at reception and they'll be happy to lend you one free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. We just ask for a deposit of £5.
