Booking
- How to check availability

- Accepted forms of payment
- Visa (inc. Electron), MasterCard, Maestro, or Solo
- Provisional bookings
- Rooms can be held without any obligation for 48 hours
- Deposit
- £25 per person at the time of booking. When booking for arrival within 4 weeks, the full amount will be requested at the time of booking
- Balance
- Payable 4 weeks prior to arrival. 5 weeks prior to arrival, a reminder email will be sent. The applicable amount will be debited automatically from the registered card (unless agreed otherwise)
- Booking Confirmation
- Details of your booking will be emailed within 24 hours of booking
- Stag groups
- Accepted at weekends with prior agreement of management and your acceptance of our group code of conduct
- U18 groups
- Unaccompanied 16 & 17 year olds accepted with additional U18 booking conditions
- Sports clubs
- Please contact us with details of your proposed booking. The group code of conduct will apply
- Group names and addresses
- Required at least 7 days prior to arrival by submitting a completed rooming list
- Individual payments
- Only one credit/debit card transaction/cheque accepted per booking
- Booking fee
- A one-off £5 booking fee will apply to all group bookings (payable with the deposit)
- What is a pre-authorisation?
- A pre-auth is a transaction which holds funds on a card without actually debiting the account. It acts as a security deposit during your stay. The pre-auth is released on departure (or next working day). Please refer to the booking conditions for full details.
- Why taken
- To help prevent excess noise levels, anti-social behviour, and smoking, and to ensure all damage is covered by those responsible
- How much
- £30 per person is the standard amount. £50 per person in the event of a larger group booking.
- When taken
- On check-in via one credit card
- Why only one card
- To form a group deposit to help ensure every individual behaves in an acceptable manner within the group.
- What cards accepted
- Whilst Visa Credit and MasterCard are the preferred form of pre-auth, we can accept Visa Debit and Visa Delta. We are unable to accept Visa Electron,Maestro/Switch or Solo.
- Accidental breakages
- The pre-auth process is designed to deter poor behaviour and noise. If any items are broken, you can pay for them separately. It is only in exceptional circumstances when there is clear wilful damage to hotel property or anti-social behaviour occurs within the hotel that the full pre-auth will be in jeopardy.

Changing my Booking
- Cancelling a booking
- Via email only. All deposits paid are non-returnable.
- Dropping group numbers
- All deposits paid are per person and are non-returnable.
- Replacing a person
- Replacing a group member is free of charge. We must be advised via email in advance.
- Changing room types/dates
- Subject to a £10 admin fee. Please advise via email.
Arrival & Departure
- Check-in and check-out times
- Check-in is from 3pm. Please call to arrange a late check-in (after 8pm). Check-out time is 10am
- Checking in without the Party Leader
- OK providing a) we receive prior notification from the Party Leader via email b) a rooming list has been received, and c) the pre-auth is satisfied in full on the first guest arrival
Hotel Facilities
- Breakfast
- All room rates are advertised on a room only basis. We offer a cooked full English breakfast at £5 and a breakfast basket of cereal, toast, yogurt etc at £3 (when booked in advance), plus a range of breakfast sandwiches and rolls from £2.
- Towels
- Towels are provided in standard and sea view rooms only. Towels are available for hire at £1 (subject to deposit) for guests staying in a bunk room.
- Televisions
- All guest rooms offer a colour TV with Freeview. Remote controls are subject to a deposit.
- Car parking
- We do have our own dedicated car park, however, spaces are limited and available strictly on a first come, first served basis. Alternative parking is available nearby both on road (with no restrictions) and in public car parks.
- Mini-buses and coaches
- Whilst mini-buses are generally OK, you will need to call us in advance to check. Coaches are strictly by arrangement only. It may also be possible to park a mini-bus in a nearby residential street, however, all coaches will have to be parked in a nearby coach park. - Provided in the surf school
- Security
- CCTV in operation on the ground floor of the hotel. During peak times, a 24 hour reception is in operation
- Hotel opening hours
- The hotel is open 24 hours- you are welcome to come and go as you please. A door code will be issued on arrival
- Are the hotel facilities open all year round?
- Not all are facilities are. Our facilities are open in accordance with how busy we are. Facilities are limited during our low season.
General
- How close are you to the town centre?
- We are located directly in the heart of Newquay town, overlooking the town's most central beach, Towan beach. We are only a short walk to all the main shops, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. You really can't get any closer!
- Transport to and from the airport
- We do not offer a transfer service ourselves, but you can book a taxi in advance with BioTravel. Click here to visit their online booking form.
- Do you arrange activities?
- Other than surf lessons, we cannot make bookings ourselves but we've selected the best activities for you to book direct.
