If you are thinking of heading off on a stag weekend, then undoubtedly the place to do it is in Newquay! Newquay is probably the stag weekend capital of England, and if you head down with a good group of mates, no matter what time of year, you are sure to have a great time!

Firstly of all, there are so many great places to party in Newquay! The list of bars is endless, and if you like to go out and have a good time, then you will be able to hit a different set of bars every night, and still not see them all by the time you head home. Everyone has their favourites, but if you want to go clubbing, then you should specifically look out for Sailors. As well as Sailors, you will have a great time in new super club Pure, the well known Berties nightclub, and of course The Beach is also well known and great fun. Most of the clubs run special offers throughout the summer, and they all have guest dj’s throughout the summer who will blow you away.

Earlier on in the night you might want to take things a little more easily. There are some great bars in Newquay, and Central is a bar where people seem to congregate throughout the evening. It is a great pre club bar, with a dance floor, a great outdoor space and a dance floor which is quite a decent size. Another great venue in the town to head for is Buzios, which is a fairly traditional pre club pub with a few bars and a dance floor, but if you head to the top floor you will find a great pool room with table after table for you all to play on.

If you are also looking for something to do in the day times during your stag weekend in Newquay, you will find some excellent golf courses to try in the immediate vicinity. Treloy is a great choice because it has some decent length challenging holes, buggy hire is available, and all in all it is very affordable. For those of you who want to get in the sea, you can find some brilliant surf lessons in Newquay which are great fun on a stag weekend.

Whatever you choose to do on your stag weekend, you will find that the Sunnyside Hotel is the perfect place to stay. You are close to the town and the beaches, it is right on the doorstep of some of the best clubs in town, and same sex groups are welcomed by the owners.

When it comes to Newquay, most people immediately think of Fistral beach. Fistral is famous the world over for its great surfing and miles of great sand, but there happens to be a great many beaches in Newquay, all of which are fantastic for their own reasons.

The one we are going to highlight here is Towan beach in Newquay. Towan beach is one of the most popular beaches in the town, and a lot of this is down to the location. Towan beach is literally a stone’s throw from the centre of Newquay town, meaning that you can have a walk through town, and pop down to the beach at any time. Conversely, if you are on the beach, but you fancy something from Towan, it is so easy to wander off the beach and into town within minutes of being in the sea!

Of course, location isn’t enough to make a beach a good beach, but Towan also boasts some of the nicest sand in the area. It tends to be firm and fine, and when you head to the top of the beach away from the water, it is very soft. This means that it is great for sand castles where the sea has swept up it, but if you want to feel soft fine sand between your toes, then you can get that too.

Another advantage to Towan beach is that the surf tends to be slightly less large in comparison to Fistral beach. This might sound like a negative, but when you consider that a large proportion of visitors to Newquay are novice surfers, it is far better to start off your surfing career in safer more manageable waters. If you do fancy surf lessons in Newquay then you will find that Towan beach is the one to go for.

Just above Towan beach you will find the fantastic Sunnyside Hotel. The Sunnyside is a great place to stay if you are a young group, and if you are interested in learning to surf on Towan beach, you will find that Sunnyside has teamed up with a great surfing school to offer you discounted lessons if you stay at the hotel! If you are looking for a stag weekend in Newquay then staying at the Sunnyside might be the perfect place for you, and having the option of cheap surfing lessons can be a great thing to do for the stag. Obviously because you are in Newquay, you will find plenty of great things to do in the evening, with a wealth of fantastic pubs and clubs to appreciate. After a big night out though, there’s nothing better than a relaxing day on the beach, and when it comes to relaxing in the sun, Towan beach is hard to beat!

When you come on holiday to Newquay, the focus is normally on the beaches and the clubs for most people. A lot of people come on Stag weekends in Newquay, or hen weekends in Newquay, and the first thought is about where to drink in the evening and where to meet other like minded people who are looking for fun. People also look to the beaches of Newquay as a source o their fun whilst on holiday, but for many people, seven straight days on the beach might leave them feeling like they need to do something else to entertain themselves.

If you do stay in Newquay, you will find that there are lots of other things to do whilst you are on holiday, and none of them will break the bank either. Firstly of all, you can take in a trip to the Sea life Aquarium, which is located right on the beach in the centre of town. It is an excellent aquarium, and you can expect to see a phenomenal range of sea creatures, from tiny little Sea Horses to huge Manta Rays and even Sharks! You should also look out for the incredible Parrot fish and the beautiful Turtles too.

If this isn’t enough for you, then you can head to Newquay Zoo. The Zoo is a great place to visit on holiday and it is nice to know that so many of the animals have been brought to the Zoo to provide a better life for them. Visiting the Lions enclosure is an experience that you will never forget. If you are lucky enough to hear then calling to each other then you will be amazed at the sheer volume! It is said that Lions can communicate with each other over a mile away, and it is no surprise when you hear then growling! As well as the incredible Lions there are many different species of Monkeys including tiny marmosets which are absolutely beautiful, and you can also visit the farmyard area which is incredible. You will see Zebras, Meer cats, and an incredible array of birds and wild animals. Considering the affordable entrance fee, it is a great day out.

With so much to do in both the day and the night, Newquay is the perfect venue for a holiday, and if you want a perfect Hotel to go with your perfect holiday, then you should go for the Sunnyside Hotel. With an incredible location overlooking the sea and within easy walking distance of the whole town, holidays don’t get much better than this!

If you are thinking of coming down to Cornwall for a fun filled holiday, then you can’t beat Newquay, and with nightclubs like Sailors, there’s no better place to spend your stag night. Newquay stag weekends are famous across the country, and Sailors is the place where most Newquay stag parties end up!

Sailors has a countrywide reputation, and anyone who lives locally knows that it is the club of choice in Newquay. With a choice of three different rooms, all playing different music, there is a different vibe for however you are feeling. If you are out and about early enough, you can also head to the Sailors bar which is attached to the main club, and it is a great place to relax with a few drinks whilst you are waiting for things to get really lively!

There is a different feel to Sailors every night of the week, and with major dance acts descending on the club throughout the summer, there is always something exciting going on. The famous Hed Kandy nights are something that just has to be experienced for you to know just how incredible they are, and this is a residency that runs throughout the summer months and beyond.

When you enter the club you will immediately notice the great decor, and the way that you go from a small entranceway, and the club seems to continually expand is amazing! It is a great layout, and it seems to get bigger and bigger the further you get into the club. Once you are in, you will find a great little bar to your left, and a small dance floor in front of you. The main action though is through the next room on your left, where you will find a huge galleried area from which you can look down onto the large dance floor. The dance floor is surrounded by little booths where people can dance in small groups, and there are one or two cages, where you can really put yourself on display if you are feeling brave!

Because Sailors is such a well known club, a lot of people base their stag weekends around a Saturday night at the club. The great thing about Newquay stag weekends is that there is so much else to do on the other nights. You will find great surf lessons in Newquay which can be a good fun thing to do in the day, and if you fancy a hen weekend in Newquay, there is a barrel of things to do for the girls too. The sea life centre is always a good bet, as is Newquay Zoo.

Whatever you want to do on your stag or hen weekend, you will find that the Sunnyside Hotel is the best place to stay. It is close to all of the best night spots, and within easy walking distance of the main town beaches, including the world famous Fistral. It’s a great place to stay for a stag or hen weekend!

However, if you book your holiday at the Sunnyside hotel, you will find that they have a partnership with the best surfing school in Newquay, which means that you can book a holiday with them in conjunction with surfing lessons during your stay.

Most people who head to Newquay for their holidays tend to want a bit of fun in the evenings and if this is the case, then they couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay! Newquay is famous the world over for its night life, and if you head out at seven or eight, you will end up back at your hotel seven or eight hours later, a little the worse for wear, but having had one of the best nights of your life!

If you just want a quiet night out, then this is too possible in Newquay. Venues like Belushis often have chilled out musical performers playing on the weekends, meaning that you can watch the sun go down out of the window overlooking the Atlantic, listening to a great singer songwriter. A few drinks go down and it is the perfect relaxed night out. You will also find an incredible range of restaurants to choose from in Newquay too. If you stray a few miles away the choice gets even greater, but the truth is there is really no need to head beyond the town limits, with dozens of great restaurants with cuisine from all of the continents of the world represented. Of course, if you just want simple fish and chips, you will find a couple of award winning places in town.

If course, lots of people want a bit more excitement than this, and for these people, there is plenty of choice. There are lots of bars in and around town which have late licences and dance floors, which means that you don’t even need to head to a club if you want to have a great night! Of course, if you do fancy a bit of clubbing you will have plenty of choice. There is the excellent Sailors nightclub, the koola Bar which is famous for bringing big name dance and drum and bass acts down from other parts of the country, and of course, Berties, a great fun place to be. If you are on a stag weekend in Newquay, anyone of these venues will be a fabulous location for you.

If you are thinking of a holiday with either a mixed group of young people or even a single sex group of people, you will find that some hotels are less than enthusiastic about you staying with them. Fortunately, at the Sunnyside hotel you can be confident that this will not be the case. You will find that the Sunnyside is one of the best positioned hotels available to stay in Newquay, with fantastic views out to sea, and only two minutes walk to both the town centre and the beach! You can’t ask for much more than that, and with a choice of single, en suite and dorm type rooms, you have a great choice of accommodation too.

Fistral Beach – the jewel in Newquay’s crown.

When people visit Newquay, the one thing that most people are seeking out is the sea. Newquay is famous for its wonderful surfing and of course it’s beautiful beaches. None are more famous than the fabulous Fistral beach.

Fistral is known for being a surfing beach, but in truth it’s much more than this. For a start it is one of the largest beaches in the area at around a mile in length, and it is not just the waves that attract people. Thanks to the geographical location of the beach, it tends to be sheltered for such an open beach, which of course means that it sometimes feels a little warmer than some other beaches in the area. Fistral is also home to one of the best food joints in the town. Fistral Blu has everything you could wish for and more. The Fish and Chip bar is open from 11 until 9 every day, which is the perfect warmer when you have been in the sea all day! You will also find the Fistral Beach Bar in the same complex which is a great place to chill out and watch the surf with your friends. If you are after something a little more sophisticated then you can try the Fistral Blu room which combines a relaxed atmosphere with fantastic food and great service. All of the different rooms in the Fistral complex are right on the edge of the beach, and they are all available for private functions throughout the year.

Of course when you talk about Fistral beach it is difficult to get away from the surfing. Although there is a great surf school on the beach which means that you can try out the sport for yourself, you will also find that you can get almost as much pleasure from watching the top surfers from around the globe doing what they do best. Every year Fistral plays host to one of the stages of the surfing world championship, and this normally ties in with the Relentless music festival, also held in Newquay. It is a great time to see the best surfers in the world, grace one of the finest beaches in the world.

If you think that a Newquay holiday is for you, and you want to experience the beauty of Fistral beach, then the Sunnyside is a great place to stay.

A week in Newquay for the best festival of the year!

Every year Newquay is inundated with revellers flocking to see the biggest and best names in both dance and rock music as the Relentless Boardmasters Skate, Surf and Music Festival arrives in Newquay for the week! The festival itself centres around the weekend of the 12th and 13th August this year, but in the week leading up to the main event, there are many great things to see and do all over Newquay that are running in conjunction with the festival. There is a level six surfing competition that attracts surfers from all around the world, as well as numerous long boarding competitions throughout the week. As well as this, there are the fabulous beach sessions – top name bands playing intimate gigs on the edge of the sea at Fistral beach on the week leading up to the festival itself. You won’t find a better venue for a live music gig, and at only fifteen pounds for a ticket, it’s a bargain too.

This year the festival is headlined by the incredible Klaxons, famous for their Mercury award winning debut album. They have come back with an impressive second album, which seems to have banished forever the notion of the ‘difficult’ second album. They are sure to be a great headline act given their reputation for creating a rave like atmosphere. Of course there are dozens of other artists to see at the festival, and the best thing of all is that tickets to the festival are available without camping at a vastly reduced rate, meaning that you can book a hotel in Newquay to avoid having to wake up with your face squashed into someone’s armpit in your tent! We have all heard about the terrible conditions of camping areas at festivals, but this is something that you can avoid at the Relentless Boardmasters festival. This also gives you an excuse to stay in Newquay town centre itself, which will mean that you can enjoy all of the other great things available to you in the week. There are free buses running to and from the festival site from Newquay, so you will never have any problem getting to and from the site, but you will be able to enjoy the festival knowing that you can get a good night’s sleep when the music has stopped!

If you stay in Newquay you can come back from the festival, which normally shuts down fairly early, and you will be back in town early enough to head to one of the many pubs or clubs that are open until the early hours. If you want a hotel in Newquay which welcomes people who are going to be out and about in the evening and the early hours, then you should find out more about the Sunnyside Hotel. It’s great for a Newquay stag do, and this could tie in nicely with the festival.
If you are looking for beach hotels in Newquay to stay in during the festival then look no further than the Sunnyside Hotel.

If you are looking for a great holiday jam packed with fun and frolics then look no further than Newquay, and once you are there, look no further than Berties bar and club! Berties is one of the premier locations in Newquay and has been for many years. The club itself is famous across the land, thanks to a steady stream of excellent and world renowned dj’s darkening its doors on a regular basis. Every year Newquay plays host to the Boardmasters festival, and you will always find that Radio one sends down one of their best known dj’s to play a set of pulsating music at Berties. Last year, Greg James played at the club to a packed house, and more of the same will be expected this year.

Before you head out to Berties club though, you will undoubtedly want to go somewhere that is a little more relaxing, and Berties bar is just the place. It is right next door to Berties club, and is a great place to have a few drinks with friends. You will find a great sun garden to the front of the pub, and plenty of great tables inside with flat screen televisions if there are any big games on. The pub serves food in the day time too, so if you fancy a great bar snack you know where to head.

If you are thinking of a stag weekend in Newquay, then Berties should be your first choice of venue for your big night out. It is always packed to the rafters in the summer, full of people looking for a great night out, which adds to the fantastic atmosphere in the club. On entering the club, you will be met with a great array of different rooms. Immediately to your left is a smaller room which caters for niche musical tastes such as rock, and R & B. There’s a great cocktail bar in the room and a nice3 relaxed dance floor. Head into the main room, and you will find a huge room of circular design, with bars on either side, separated by a large multi height dance floor. This main room tends to play chart music and it is always the location of any visiting dj’s that come to the club. There is also a great chill out room, a games room and an extra room with as bar and a dance floor which plays different music depending on the night. All in all it is a great club no matter what sort of music or atmosphere you are looking for.

If you think that it sounds like a great place to be for your stag do, then you should make sure you find a hotel which is suitable for you. The Sunnyside hotel welcomes young revellers with open arms throughout the year, and if you are a single sex group then you will be more than welcome. It is a great hotel in Newquay and central, so you will be able to get to wherever you need to be. During the daytime you can also arrange to have surf lessons in Newquay, so you can at least say that you have done something healthy during your party week in Newquay!
