05 Jul Why We Love Activity Weekends
If you’re not one to lounge around on your mini getaways and you love nothing more than getting your blood pumping and adrenaline rising, then you should probably book yourself an activity weekend away in Newquay.
Newquay, famous for its beautiful beaches, nightlife and activities it has got something for everyone, but because you’re a bit of an adrenaline junkie we won’t bore you with the relaxing stuff, we’re going to get right down to the fun stuff, like surfing and stand up paddleboarding!
So, what is there to do in Newquay that will give you that much-needed adventure fix?
First up let’s talk watersports.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Whatever the weather and the water conditions there’s something you can do in the ocean. Our partner surf school, NQY Surf School, offers the best water-based activities in Newquay, with excellent reviews and it’s even run by my professional surfer, who competes on the World Longboarding tour! It doesn’t get much better than that. They can tailor make packages for you and ensure you’re in the safest of hands while out in the water. Get in touch with them to find out more: email@example.com
Now for the land-based adventures!
If you’re not a big fan of the water or don’t want to spend your entire activity weekend in the surf, then fear not. Newquay and the surrounding areas have some great activities which you can enjoy.
Beach Fit Classes
If you’re willing to drive out of Newquay during your activity weekend and fancy hiring a bike to take on the Bodmin Beast, then head over to Cardinham Woods, just outside of Bodmin. With an epic mountain bike trail and stunning walks, it makes a nice change from the coast for a day.
Don’t forget to bring your running and walking shoes because you wouldn’t want to take on the Cornish coastal path in your flip flops! Pack up a picnic and water and head out along the coast, we have some of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the UK just a 2-minute walk from our hotel and guess what; a coastal walk costs nothing. Unless you want to stop off for a cheeky Cornish cider and a pasty along the way!
We did say there’s something for everyone, and we weren’t lying and remember if you want to know anything about the activities we’ve mentioned get in touch when you make your booking, and we will be happy to advise you on the best places to go.
